Get Your Fierce Face On

When your romantic overnight trip is plagued by a lost wallet, missing eyeglasses, a nearly flat tire, & a heavy downpour, you take stock of the situation. You give God your honest disappointment & then actively protect that birthright gift of JOY God gives all His kids. You get your fierce face on & talk about all you’ve been given from God. In the battle against a complaining spirit , you just crossed into victory land! Now, you must eat ice cream because it’s the dessert of warriors-I think. (Or at least, it should be. ) #enemydown #choosejoy #icecream#protectyourheart #fighttraining #activeduty — with Brian G. Fisher at Marble Slab Creamery – College Station.

Lead Together

Can I tell u how much I love any time I get to lead with these girls?! I loved teaching Hebrews with these 2 gals! @mrssarahdesousa & @tltoone & I have seen that every single time we are in this powerhouse book, God peels back another layer to see His Son afresh! It’s utterly impossible to miss this key point: Jesus is way more wonderful than we understand Him to be! Hebrews causes every person to look away from self & stare in wonder at this true King. Isn’t it funny that when we look only at our struggles, Jesus can seem far? Yet, when we saturate our minds with His biblical identity, our problems suddenly seem to be put in their proper place-below His greatness. Make this your verse this year: “And HE is the radiance of His glory & the exact representation of His nature & upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification for our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Heb. 1:3) Don’t just read this today, ask yourself, “Do I really believe this?” Now, live as one smitten by His love for you! #hebrews #jesusisbetter #womensbiblestudy#wednesdaynights @gracebible

EVERY hour I need thee…

Something huge happens in your life when you realize that you don’t just need God for some things but for all things. You need Him for big questions (“Is this the job I should take, Lord?”) & for everyday living (“Lord, help me be kind to this person!”) Amazingly, both needs are the same size to Him. Grow in your need of Him-talk to Him as you would a friend, a coach, a parent, a King. Put aside the human lie that frowns on neediness. Turn to your Greatest Love & prepare to be shocked. Imagine His response to your need as “Come, my child & see what I will do for you, for I delight in your dependence !” #2corinthians #hedelightsinyou
